Lineage Testing
The Pursuit of African Roots is partnering with professional companies that specialize in DNA testing to help provide the descendants of enslaved Africans an opportunity to identify the region(s), percentages, and sometimes the tribe of their ancestor’s location in Africa today.
Your donation can change the path for African American families by establishing a sense of pride and belonging for present and future generations to come.
Learn African Languages
The Pursuit of African Roots provides resources for African Americans to learn an African language spoken in America or the continent of Africa. We connect learners to instructors who speak English and are fluent in the African language. We provide beginner, intermediate, advance, and conversational classes. Classes are offered in small group online settings or one-on-one based on your learning style.
Your donation helps secure committed tutors to teach African Americans a second language from Africa.
Experience African Culture
The Pursuit of African Roots will help sponsor or provide resources for African Americans to physically participate in African cultural tours. Connecting with local Africans in America and on the continent of Africa will provide authentic experiences of their culture today.
